Stangeland Vineyards and
Winery...
From their sunny, southerly slope, commanding a spectacular view of the valley below, Stangeland invites you to visit their vineyards and winery. Planted by the Miller family in 1978, the vineyard is located on a southern exposure at a 350-foot elevation in the hills northwest of Salem. This hilltop location, rich soil and cool climate viticultural region of Oregon combine to create an ideal growing environment. Originally planted to Pinot noir (Wadenswil clone) and Chardonnay, additional plantings of Pinot gris were added in 1986. These three varietals are the foundation of our estate bottled wines. In addition, several other vineyards produce grapes for Stangeland's vineyard designated wine series, all to the same high standards as Stangeland Estate wines. In the heart of their vineyards, enjoy award-winning wines at the tasting room, a relaxing atmosphere, great conversation, and a selection of wines (including lots of Pinot Noirs) and gifts from their gift shop. Stangeland (pronounced STANG-lund) is a beautiful spot for a picnic, a chance to relax from the hectic pace of daily life, and an opportunity to enjoy great wine and conversation. Our
motto -- "There are no strangers at Stangeland" -- says it all. Sign up for our "Friends of Stangeland" newsletter Your name on the Friends of Stangeland mailing list offers special opportunities. Winery events, tasting focus groups, winemaker dinners, and access to wines sold only at the winery are some of the benefits made available through our newsletter. There are lots of other benefits for this special group of our customers. Just click here to request your name be added to the Friends of Stangeland list.
