Tefft Cellars Winery invites you to enjoy a true wine-country experience in the middle of the winemaking Mecca called the Yakima Valley.

Located only minutes west of Sunnyside and north of Washington's Interstate 82, the Tefft estate is just far enough from city life and traffic noise to forget the stress left behind. Only vineyards and orchards abound at this wine-country getaway.

Tefft Cellars Winery was established in 1991 in the middle of the Yakima Valley, part of Washington State's prime winegrowing region. Winemaking facilities and the founder's home were located side by side. Then and now, a commitment to healthy vineyards and elegant wines is the philosophy that keeps the estate and wine-country lifestyle growing every year.

If you're planning a visit to the Yakima Valley wine region, you'll be pleased to know the Tefft Cellars tasting room is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are interested in a tour of the winery, call ahead to be sure a guide is on hand for your visit.

You will always find a friendly and knowledgeable person inside the Tefft Cellars Tasting Room; it might even be Joel Tefft, winemaker. Whether you're just beginning to discover the world of wines or are seasoned by many years of wine tasting, you're sure to feel welcome as you taste through Tefft's many distinctive wines, from Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, and Syrah, to late-harvest dessert and sparkling wines and Tefft's Port wines.

The cozy and recently refurbished Tefft Cellars' Guest House offers a convenient and private place for you and your family, and/or friends, to retire after a long day of wine tasting and touring. Surrounded by vineyards and orchards, and next door to the winery, it is hard to imagine a more ideal setting. With three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, a fully functional kitchen, dining area and cozy living room, the entire Guest House is yours to enjoy... including its secluded deck overlooking the vineyards. 2005 Chardonnay

Our Chardonnay is made with food in mind. So, we keep the acidity up a little and downplay the heavy oak flavors and butteriness from the malolactic fermentation. Tropical flavors mingle with the taste of citrus and apple to produce a great wine to go with any meal.

Inspired by the beautiful villas and landscape of Tuscany, we have tried to capture the fresh, youthful spirit and flavors of the great Chianti's of Italy. It is a blend of Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
