Finding Estate-Grown Puget Sound Wines and Their Wineries

       If you want to taste the influence of the Puget Sound AVA's terroir, you'll need some help locating wineries that produce at least some wines from grapes grown here in the Puget Sound AVA.  That's why we put together this page.

       Only about 1% of Washington wine grapes are grown on the west side of the Cascade Mountains where the Puget Sound AVA is located.  There are plenty of wineries in Western Washington, all up and down the I-5 corridor, many of which are within the state's one AVA - the Puget Sound AVA. But only relatively few of them make wines using locally grown grapes.  The rest of the wines produced in Western Washington are made from grapes purchased from vineyards located in warmer Eastern Washington regions or in the Willamette Valley of Oregon to the south.
